Race Report: Sunday 31st December 2017

Blackburn Harriers helped see off 2017 with a competitive field for this annual 10k race held on this undulating course set in rural Lancashire. 1286 runners lined up for the course in relatively favourable conditions given the time of the year. The slight crosswind didn’t hold back Marc Scott (Richmond & Zetland Harriers) from crossing the line in 29:37. Laura Weightman (Morpeth Harriers) was the first woman back with 32:31. Two Striders, Richard and Kathryn Carter crossed the Pennines to run the event. Well done to you both.
