Northern Cross Country Relays

Race Date : Saturday 20th October 2018

Graves Park once again played host to the Northern Cross Country Relays which attracted some of the top runners and clubs from the North of England. The warm and dry weather meant the going was good and whilst it might not have been your traditional cross country conditions it did make for some fast times.

Striders fielded an impressive number of runners with 4 teams in the Senior Women’s race and 5 teams on the Senior Men’s race. An honourable mention must go the Senior Men’s A team who put in an impressive performance to finish within 3 places and 40 seconds of Hallamshire Harriers.

The Senior Men’s race was run over 4 legs of 2 miles and was won by Preston harriers in 40:30. The Senior Women’s race was run over 3 legs of 2 miles with Rotherham Harriers coming home first in 35:44.
