Race Date: Sunday 14th October 2018
Just 4 striders made the trip down to Leicester for the Marathon and Half Marathon. Ashleigh Barron and myself did the full distance, David Hewitt and Caroline Brash did the half marathon. It was a particularly miserable day with rain non stop from start to finish, this along with plenty of kerb hopping, car dodging and tree ducking means that it is not a race I will be going back to do.
Emil Meijer of Trangsvikens IF won in a time of 2.37.11, first lady was Nicola Stevenson of Poplar Running Club in 3.04.27, closely followed by Ashleigh in 2nd taking up her now usual position on the podium in a time of 3.11.59.
Simon Birch of Hinckley Running Club won the half in 1.11.13 with Hannah Doran of Charnwood AC first lady in 1.21.41.
