Race Date: 10 March 2018
The Haworth Hobble (also known as The Wuthering Hike) is a 32 mile fell race with 4,396ft of ascent starting and finishing in the village of Haworth, between Bradford and Burnley. The route takes in the moors towards Calderdale, Studley Pike, Heptonstall and sections of the Pennine Way. It can be run solo or in pairs.
313 runners or pairs took part this year. Ken Sutor, from Cheshire Hash, won the men’s race in a time of 4:33:18. The women’s race was won by Lorraine Slater of Barlick in 5:07:02.
Two Striders took part as a pair, Simon Bayliss and Amy Duck, both of whom, remarkably, went on to complete the Edale Skyline just 24 hours later. Magnificent performance.
