Race Date: Tuesday 26th December 2017
The East Hull Harriers Boxing Day 10k is held, predictably, on 26th December each year and the 2017 event saw 251 participants wake up from a Turkey-induced coma to complete the course.
First home was Timmy Davies of Leeds City AC in a time of 34:24 and first lady was Charlotte Ward of Hallamshire Harriers in a time of 37:06. One lone Strider lined up amongst the 251 runners, Adam McAuley,and he had the following to say about the event:
“This was the second year I’ve entered this; it’s a cracking little event – only a fiver to enter and the course is very PB friendly, though there always seems to be a nasty headwind on kilometres 5 through 7. It also means a couple of hours less with the in-laws on Boxing Day, so a winner all around!”
