Race Date: Saturday 12th May 2018

There is nothing not to love about this low key race! (Well, perhaps apart from the sting in the tail hill climb finish).  The 10.5km route (including 350m ascent) loops along the Wye Valley and back up to Cressbrook.  If you like wildflowers; great views; fun, fast downhills through forests; topped off with a free pint at the end then this race is certainly for you! There is also a delicious lunch at the end, part cooked by Striders’ very own Dave Ansell.

This year Striders swept up the prizes – firsts in their category for Caroline Brock, Alison Barrett and Dave Ansell (local runner), as well as a second place finish for Fran Cummins.

The race was won by Oli Johnson of Dark Peak Fell Runners in 44.12, first lady back was Caroline Brock in 51:47.
