Bradford 10k

Race date: 29 April 2018
This race was originally postponed in March due to the effects of the “Beast from the East”. However there were excellent running conditions for the rescheduled 10th Epilepsy Action 10k.  The race starts and finishes  outside Bradford Town hall and is a pb potential, pretty much flat out and back course with a couple of cheeky uphill and downhill sections on the outward part of the route. For those lovers of scenic runs this is probably on a par with Dewsbury 10k!
There were 2,500 entries but probably due to the postponement 1897 finishers. First female was Hannah Oldroyd who ran with Saltaire Striders, now lives in New Zealand in a time of 36 mins 39 secs
First male was Joe Sagar of Spenborough a.c who won this race for the 3rd time in a row in 32 mins 39 secs.
2 Striders were present, myself and my brother Richard making a trip to our home city.
