Race date: Sunday 15th April 2018
This marathon/half/fun running event is getting to be more popular, not least because it is said to be the flattest course in the country. Don’t confuse this with the other Boston Marathon…!
The Club was ably represented by Ben, Shan and Phillip; Phillip provided this description of the race: “… An excellent course and flat as the eye can see running in between farmers’ fields. It was a hot one but we managed to make it over the finish line in a respectable 3:58:22. You can’t prepare for the last miles, they are just killer. Half’s and 10k for me in the future. …”
545 runners took part with Benjamin Harris of Retford AC coming in first at 02:36:47. Fiona Davies of Rotherham Harriers was the first woman home in 02:50:39
