This was the 10th edition of the Bollington Festival 3 peaks fell race. Advertised as the only fell race in the country to start and finish at a brewery! This challenging course takes in Kerridge Hill, White Nancy and Nab Hill and is 9km with 370m of ascent (or 5.7 miles 1200 ft in old money). 285 finished out of the 291 that started.
£10 entry is relatively expensive for a fell race but you get a pint of beer and a bowl of chilli upon finishing, plus a goody bag containing more beer!
The race was won by Simon Harding of Macclesfield Harriers in a time of 40:32. First Lady home was Gillian Lyndsey, also of Macclesfield Harriers in a time of 49:41.
2 Striders in attendance, me (very happy with 47th) and Phil Simon (not so happy with his time, but he’d been ill, the poor lamb!).
P | Name | Cat | Time |
