Race Date: Sunday 22nd January 2017
The monthly running of the Trust 10 at Longshaw took place last weekend and it was a clear and frosty morning to start with. I don’t know how many times I have promised myself that I would run out to Longshaw over Houndkirk and failed but this time I never failed, and I’m so pleased I made the effort as the sunrise was just stunning.
Two full laps totalling 6.4 miles were completed by 178 runners and was won by Mike Nolan of Dark Peak in 41.58. The first woman was Jenny Nolan, unattached, in 50.18. There were 20 competing Striders – well done to all.
