Race date: Sunday 26th November 2017
This monthly event is kindly organised by the National Trust on their delightful Longshaw Estate. If you want to run “… Registration is on the day only and will take place in the tea room from 8.15am, with the run starting at 9.00am …”. Have a look at the website for dates and whatnot. Note that the course is a bit exposed and the race – like all others – is subject to cancellation in extremis.
On 26th November, 144 well insulated runners took part with James Martyn of (in this case) the slightly inaccurately named Porter Valley Plodders crossing the heather line in 41:26.7. Fellow Plodder, Sarah Burnell, was first woman home in 50:51.32.
