Trunce 1

A whopping 480 people went rolling around in some mud and rivers on March 28th. The turnout was so large that many people’s start line was almost in Barnsley! The sun came out for the first Trunce of the season and weather conditions were absolutely glorious. There were some super fast times even if the course was slightly shorter than usual due to trying to protect the farmer’s crops.

A fantastic turn out of Striders, with 25 green and golden clad members making their way up to Oxspring for the race. Please do let me know if you’ve been missed off the list due to admin issues.

The race was won by star in the making and Hillsborough parkrun regular Connor Henderson in 23:35 and first female across the line was Andrea Spencer in 26:34.

If you’ve never done the Trunce before a full previews is available on the Strider’s website and a video of the entire route is available on YouTube.
