Race Date: 28th May 2017

The Simplyhealth Great Manchester Run 10k, first run in 2003 is the largest 10k in Europe with 17,170 finishers in 2017. Its fast and flat with strong support from the people of Manchester.

This years  race was won by America’s former Nike Oregon Project Runner Dathan Ritzenhein (Unattached) in 28:06 with the woman’s race won for the fourth time by the Ethiopian London Marathon runner up Tirunesh Dibaba in 31:03

Three Striders travelled across the Pennines to take part in what was a very emotional day given the events in Manchester the week before.
