Race date: May 17th

A 10km, Category AS fell race, taking in Errwood Hall & Shining Tor in the Goyt Valley. Five striders chose to head to the fells rather than Askern 10K (which attracted 50 striders on the same night). The rain stopped before the race:

“Most stunning scenes seen from a course this year. Running up through a garden of colour, on the top drifting mist, other runners appearing & disappearing, trees below silhouetted, ridges showing above seas of cloud, light from the setting sun creating a mass of glowing orange on your left along the ridge. If you let the weather put you off you missed out big time.”

The race was won by Chris Donnelly of Sale Harriers in 40:41. First lady home was Zoe Procter of Pennine Fell Runners in 48:08.
