Race Date: January 1st 2017
A single Strider represented the Green and Gold in central London on New Year’s Day. Whilst most of us were doing various parkrun doubles, Richard Pegg turned up to the Serpentine 10k having managed to get lost and rack up 41km on the bike prior to the race. Some warm up that!
Even with his poor race logistics, he managed a storming effort, finishing 4th in his age category.
The men’s race was won by Johnathan Hay of Aldershot, Farnham and District AC in 30:11 and the women’s race was won by Emma Pallant also of Aldershot, Farnham and District AC in 35:04.
