Race Date: Sunday 11th June 2017
For those who don’t know the Burner is a 10k trail race organised by Northwram organising schools committee. First class effort there. Northwram is (of course) in Calderdale and from the race images it isn’t flat. Or dry. Or paved. Or free of inconvenient trees/flora.
Some 227 apparently fearless souls took part including Striders Jeni and Alasdair; Jeni is a veteran and significantly improved her time and place. Stunning results all round.
The first woman home was Margaret Beever of Staniland Lions in 45:32 and the first man Gavin Mulholland of the same club in 37:17.
