Not being reported in chronological order but hey ho! The second of Alasdair Menmuir’s hatrick of weekend fell races took him to the Mount Famine race where he pitted himself against 178 non Striders and beat all but 45 of them. Well done Alasdair.

Mount Famine is a 5 mile fell race with 1850 feet of climb. It was won by Sam Tosh of Rossendale Harriers in 42.05. The first woman home was Elizabeth Smith , unattached, in 56.30.
