Starting from the village of Langsett, the 13 mile route takes you along some beautiful forest trails and Peak District moorland/fells. The route starts and ends on compact forest trails, however it does take you out into the fells – which consists of some very challenging rocky/muddy/boggy terrain.
Great race and route, well organised and marshalled.
45 runners completed the 13 mile race, with 79 runners completing the 10K version.
The 13 race was won by Nick Hardy in 01:32:17, and the first lady home was Annabel Mason in 01:49:09.
1 Strider trying out the run was me – a creditable top half finish (I think) despite my atrocious off road and descending skills.
