Race date: Sunday 25th June 2017
This spectacular race is organised by the Rotary Club of Hull and has been since 1998. It takes in the amazing Humber Bridge (there and back again) (apologies to JRR Tolkein!) the surprisingly pleasant Barton on Humber along with Hessle, of course.
The 25th June was perfect running weather with only a gentle breeze on the bridge itself. The course itself includes about 171m of ascent and descent.
1,840 runners took part with Callum Elson of Roundhay Runners winning in 1:12:12. The first woman home was Beth Pascall, (unattached) in 1:26:09.
I’ve only been able to find one Strider in the results (yes, I know I’m slow), so if anybody other than me ran, please say so.
The full results (including a downloadable .xls file) are here.
