Race Date: Sunday 7th May 2017
The annual Chatsworth 10k is organised in aid of Helen’s Trust, a charity set up to offer terminally ill people in North Derbyshire the option to remain at home. The race is run through the grounds of Chatsworth House and is gaining in popularity – almost a thousand participants lined up on the start line this year.
The 2017 winner was Harry Holmes (unattached) who crossed the finish line in a time of 34:00, and first lady was Amy Clark of Buxton and District AC in a time of 43:05.
Twelve Striders were among the participants, and special mentions must go to Phil Skelton (who finished in second place overall), Dave Perkins (3rd M40), Helen Eberlin (1st F70) and Kate Scott, who finished 1st F50 in her maiden run as a Strider. Congratulations to all!
