Race Date: October 29th

The Grin ‘n’ Bear is a challenging 25K mixed terrain fell race featuring plenty of bog trotting and requiring some navigation. It’s organised by Woodhead Mountain Rescue and is one of the “long” events in the Accelerate Gritstone series.

This year’s winner was Gavin Mullholland of CVFR in 02.07.55 whilst Majka Keimcha of PVR AC was first lady home in 02.42.16.

The 128 finishers included five striders this year. There are rumours of checkpoint 5 being missed by a certain Mr Clarke and that Laura took very much her own route at times and “did a good fraction on my bum”. Well done all on completing a tough event which I must get to next year.
