Race Date: Friday 1st September 2017
A 4.8 mile, 950 feet of climb, true short fell race in the terms of up, along, down, up and down. That bleedin’ uphill road section seems to go on forever. The last ‘stand alone’ mid week fell race of the season is a treat not to be missed. And for those of you who like to meet famous people, you have the chance to meet Roy Hattersley, if you so desire.
158 runners this year including a good number of Striders – well done to all but particularly to Caroline Brock for her first female placing in 33.58 and an ever growing collection of winners coasters and to Fran Cummins for an excellent 3rd place. The race was won by Liam Garrett of London Heathside in 30.01, a 16 year old up in the Peaks on holiday – well done to him.
