Race date: Sunday 24th September 2017
This very popular global event is organised by “Grupo Bimbo, S.A.B. de C.V., New York Bakery Company and Limelight Sports”. Just to dispel any giggling at the back there, Grupo Bimbo is a “Mexican multinational bakery product manufacturing company headquartered in Mexico City”. Pretty much anyone travelling in South America will have come across their products.
Dragging this back to the race: the idea is to run it in 38 cities and 21 countries around the world – more here .
I’ve only looked at the 10k here; if any Striders did the other races, please say so and I’ll incorporate them.
363 runners took part and the first to break bread (sorry, cross the line) in just 32:42 was Will Mycroft. The first female runner home was Lindsy James in 41:00.
The results are here but sadly don’t identify clubs, so the Strider list below may not be correct. If it isn’t, please say so. Louise has now been added…. Anyone else?
