First race of the Striders Championship saw a huge turnout from the club, with a total of 50 runners donning the vest on the first Sunday of February.
A pretty fast course saw Striders posting fantastic results, with many clocking a PB. Even with the turn around point seemingly moving 100m further down the road, we saw some fantastic results from Striders.
The race was won by Mohammad Abu Rezeq in 30:43. He won this race last year and the 2016 Percy Pud. The first female to finish was Aly Dixon of Sunderland Strollers in 34:37. She also represented Team GB in Rio running 2:34 in the marathon. Full results available online.
