Clumber Park Trust 10 Results

Race Date: Sun 23rd April 2017

Race Report by Emma Portus

This was the first time we’ve done the Trust 10 at Clumber Park, we normally go to Longshaw so didn’t know what to expect. The course is very similar to the Parkrun, made up of three and a half laps from the cricket club, down to and along the lake and then back up to the cafe, including an extra loop on the first lap. The weather was perfect, sunny with a bit of a breeze, but both of us regretted wearing trail shoes which weren’t really needed on the dry course, and by the third lap the pretty scenery had started to grow a bit too familiar. The dry paths did however lead to some nice fast bits so that I finished well within my previous trail 10k pb of 70 mins. Overall conclusion: definitely a nice run when the weather is good, although without the challenge and variety offered by Longshaw.
