Race Date: 29th May

This fell race is run each Spring Bank Holiday Monday in conjunction with the Sheepdog trials (entry fee included in the admission charge to the trials).

The route is described thus:

“There is a serious climb along Paddy line and up Parkin Clough then they run out onto the open moorland before the final ascent to the trig post at the top of Win Hill. The return is down the front of Win hill through Thornhill and back to the starting point at Bamford recreation ground”

167 runners took part this year of which four were striders. The race was won by Harry Holmes of Pudsey and Bramley in 31.28 and Tamsin Moran of Sheffield University Orienteering Club in 39.51
