Race Date: Monday 2nd January 2017
A great way to see the new fell running year in. Much less wet and muddy than last year but a bit colder. And a free mug to all participants was a great bonus.
The race was extended from last year by 3/4 mile due to access rights, hence the reason for the longer time than last year (my excuse anyway). 215 runners ran the 7.7 mile course. The winner was Paul Johnson of Barnsley Harriers in 55.22. The first woman was Zanthe Wray of Dark Peak in 58.37. Well done to the 6 Striders in attendance.
