Race Date: Sunday 12th February 2017
Organised by Billingham Marsh House Harriers, the Absent Friends Trail Run is the first of three races that form part of the Run Billingham Series. The race is approximately 5 miles and run at Cowpen Bewley Nature Reserve, Teesside on a mixture of undulating terrain.
According to Stuart, the run was muddy, wet, windy, fairly barren at this time of year – and not one for those wanting great scenery, confident footing or hills! If we’re to quote No.11 in Stuart’s ongoing ‘Up-To-The-Minute One-Word Race Reports’ , said word was ‘Mudbath’. He must have been spurred on by the challenge though as he came away with a course PB by 1’44”!
