It was a busy day in Wrexham last Sunday with a half marathon, a 20 miler and a full marathon on offer. Here’s the blurb:

Run Wales are proud to announce that the Wrexham Marathon Festival has been chosen to host the North Wales Marathon Championships.

Starting and finishing in Wrexham town centre, there’s sure to be a good crowd cheering you on your way and welcoming you over the finish line for what will be a fast course for both races with a few ups and downs along the way, 2 of the hills from the 2015 race have been removed making it a race with even greater PB potential.

All routes have great PB potential.

There was only one Strider running in any of these and it was Charlie Field who chose the 20 mile option. Great run by Charlie too, well done. The race was won by Martin Green of North Wales RR in 2.00.38. The first woman home was Sarah Conway of Birchfield in 2.29.31.
