Race Date: Sunday 17th July 2016
Organised by Flyde Coast Runners, the Windmill Half is a fast and flat two lap course around Lytham St Annes and Fairhaven Lake. James had just two words to describe his race experience – ‘warm’ and ‘windy’. If you’re after a PB this could be the course to get it on – as long as the wind is favourable!
517 people took part in the race, including our lone Strider, James Smith. Despite the headwind he achieved a cracking new PB and is getting close to a sub 90 half. Well done James!
The race was won by Nathaniel Winfield (unattached) in a time of 1.19.06, and the first lady home was Martha Hanby (also unattached) in 1.24.59.
