Part of the Urban Nights series of races organised by a keen orienteering runner based in Sheffield, The North Stand Race 2016 took place on Thursday, Jan 14th.
The aim of the race is to visit the 3 Sheffield Football Grounds – Wednesday, Hallam, and United, touch the North side of each venue and return to the start location.. Visit the grounds in any order. Generally whichever route you take will be around 10 miles with 1,000ft of elevation. It makes for an interesting race (and flyby) seeing runners heading in various directions all over the city.
2 Striders took part, with Ben Jones retaining his winning crown from last year with a superb performance.
Striders Results:
P | Name | Time | Route |
1 | Ben Jones | 01:04:45 | Hallam, United, Wednesday |
9 | Jorge Bronze | 01:13:08 | Hallam, United, Wednesday |
