Race Date: Sunday 10th January 2016
Now this is a proper fell race. £12 for 24 miles. No wonder Mr Howson entered. Previous experience essential and they do check and refuse entries as none of the course is marked and you have to navigate your own route. Oh and it’s in the mid of January. Brrrrrr!!!!!
This year’s field had 192 finishers and 9 DNFs. Times ranged from the winner, Nicholas Barber of Pennine Fell Runners, 3.40.16 to the last placed runner, home in 8.02.34. The first woman home was Nicky Spinks of Dark Peak in 4.17.51. Well done to all entrants and especially the 5 partaking Striders.
