Race Date: Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th October 2016

The Tissington Trail Half Marathon is proving so popular that they run two separate events, one Saturday and one Sunday.

The reason its so popular is that its all downhill, 683ft of descent to be precise,sounds ideal to me.

Saturdays race attracted 281 finishers and was won by Gareth Lowe of Clowne in 1:07:55 with the first lady home was our very own Lucy Broom in 1:27:33.

This continues the rich vein of form that our ladies are currently in.  Congratulations Lucy, brilliant running.

Sunday was the more popular day with 398 finishers. Daniel Page of Clowne won the race in 1:14:20 with Rebecca Winter of Ackworth winning the ladies race in 1:22:26.

Two Striders in total let the brakes off and whisked down the hill in cracking times.
