Race Date: Wednesday 4th May 2016
The Todger is a 5.7 mile race with total ascent of 850 feet and it came hot on the heels of the Burbage Skyline. A few people did ‘the double’ but numbers were down because of the race the previous night. However, what a difference a week makes. If it was this time last week, I’m sure there would have been FRA kit checks. It was a lovely evening and a good number of runners were out to make the best of it.
The race had 184 runners. It was won by Simon O’Meara of Alehouse in 34.12. The first woman home was Claire Cooke of UOS Triathlon in 40.41. There was a great turnout of 22 Striders – well done to all. On the team front, the Striders first team came second, only to Alehouse, beating Dark Peak and Totley into 3rd and 4th respectively. Great work Team Striders.
