Race Date: 4th September

The South Cheshire 20 was established in 1998 as the Pre-Potts 20 and this year fell four weeks before the Chester Marathon and five weeks before the Yorkshire Marathon (are you aiming for either of those Sian?).

“20 miles of frequently hilly, mainly country lanes through Weston, Englesea-brook, Betley, Wrinehill, Shraleybrook, Audley, Barthomley.”

The race was won by Jason Cherriman of Leeds City in 1.52.11 whilst Zoe McLennan of Chester Tri Club was first lady home in 2.13.19.

Lone strider Sian Evans was fifth lady home despite this being a “personal worst” for the distance – but those hills were frequent!
