Race Date: Wednesday 18th May 2016
Not to be outdone by the hordes of Striders heading off to Askern for the 10k, a couple of Striders went their own way and ran the Shining Tor fell race, a 6.2 mile, 1020 feet race held near Buxton.
Steve Clarke’s brief analysis of the course is:
It’s not a bad one actually, decent for people who prefer their climbing long and steady, rather than short and brutal!
Well done to both Steve and Naomi Rabin for the efforts in the race. The race was won by Alasdair Campbell (unattached) in 38.12. The first woman home was Caitlin Rice of Glossopdate Harriers in 44.56.
