Race Date: Sunday 26th June 2016

Organised by members of Penny Lane Striders, the course boasts to be flat, fast and friendly – which is just how we like it. The course itself takes in the scenic River Mersey waterfront along Otterspool Promenade, and Otterspool Park.

400 people took part in the race including our lone Strider Roger Watson. Roger has gone from strength to strength in recent months (cruising past me at North Lincs Half and achieving his first sub 45 10K not long after). Another storming run here in Liverpool.

The race was won by Paul Sankey of Liverpool Harriers & Athletic Club in a time of 34.55, and the first lady home was Helen Sahgal of Mersey Tri in 39.18.
