Race Date: Sunday 4th December 2016

After the drenching that everyone received at the last event in Bakewell in October the weather at Meerbrook for the final round of the series couldn’t have been better. Wall to wall sunshine and blue skies were the order of the day and this meant great winter trail running conditions which incidentally included a five counties view from the high point of the long run; a rather strong NE wind (felt particularly keenly on top of the Roaches) made for a significant wind chill which was estimated to be around -10C hence the compulsory requirement for full warm body cover!

220+ runners registered for the event and the 161 who turned up and ran on the day were in great spirits at the end particularly after a warming cuppa and piece of cake.

Lone Strider Adrian Moss made the 60 min (ish) journey across to Meerbrook for this one. The race was won by Kieran Allanson in 1.15.44. First lady home was Isa Sinfield in 1.32.13. Well done to Adrian.
