The event took place on the same day as and in conjunction with the Market Harborough Carnival.

Apparently, the route has something for everyone with some crowd-lined closed roads, an idyllic rural village section through Great Bowden, Welham and Thorpe Langton and a spectacular finish at the Carnival Show Ground.

428 runners took part, race winner was Gareth Wood (Harborough AC) in 01:17:08, first lady home was Nicki Nealon (Huncote Harriers) in 01:25:32.

Sole Strider taking part was Rich Giles, who (according to RunBritain results) romped to a near 4 minute pb – Well done!
