Race Date: Sunday 2nd October 2016
More than 2,300 competitors pounded the cobbled streets in the glorious October sun as they made their way around the Lincoln Half Marathon this year.
Starting and finishing at the Lincoln Showground, the route heads into uphill Lincoln, past the Cathedral, through the grounds of the Castle and into the main city centre. After passing the beautiful Brayford waterfront and winding through the University of Lincoln grounds, the runners looped back and started running ‘up, up, up’ towards the Lincolnshire Showground. The Showground acted as race hub with DJs and bands, along with fantastic local food and drink vendors.
“Good course, mix of country roads, cathedral, river… Worth a visit.” says Emma.
