The Lincoln 10K is over and the results are in.

The annual event got underway at 11am today and saw runners of all abilities take on a circuit of the city for fun or to raise cash for their chosen charity.

The route took almost 5,000 runners along Longdales Road, Nettleham Road, Church Lane, Newport, B1273, Burton Road and Queen Elizabeth Road.

The race was won by Matthew Bowser of Lincoln Wellington finishing in 30:28 and first female home was Rachel Burns of Liverpool Harriers in 34:46.
