Race Date: Sunday 4th September 2016

This race that supports Barnsley Hospice is classed as undulating.  They always try and tart these things up as the people that ran it said hilly and tough!

Not that it stopped race winners James Thompson of Kingstone Runners and Victoria Houghton of North Shields Poly who came home in 37:24 and 44:51 respectively.

291 runners took on the undulating course with 3 Striders taking part.  It would have been 4 but yours truly cried off with a calf complaint. 🙁

Amongst the Striders who didn’t swerve the race were Adam Brooks who finished 5th overall and walked home with the V40 prize, so jolly well done to him.
