The Brathay Windermere Marathon follows an undulating (1600 or so feet of climbing!) and spectacularly scenic loop around Windermere. The perfect antidote to big city marathons, according to John Rawlinson!
The winner was Scott Harrington in a time of 2:36:33. He does not appear to be affiliated with a club. The winning lady was Sally Ford of 100 Marathon Club, in a time of 3:09:51. 530 runners took part in the marathon, of which 2 were Striders. Well done to both of you!

To mark the 10th Birthday of the Windermere Marathon – the inaugural Brathay Half Marathon also took place
The winner was David Mulvee in a time of 01:13:23. The winning lady was Lucy Stobbart in a time of 01:34:20.
403 runners took part in the half marathon, of which there was 1 Strider – Daniel Cubitt.
