Race Date: Sunday 17th January 2016
An extremely popular race organised by York Knavesmire Harriers. This year all 1750 places were sold out in 80 minutes. Seven Striders obviously had fastest finger first as they managed to grab a place before they all went.
There were 1515 finishers this year. The race was won by Dan Kestral of Barnsley AC in 1.08.52. The first woman home was Sharon Barlow of Darlington Harriers in 1.18.33.
Well done to all seven Striders for their efforts. Special mention however to John Kilcoyne who broke 80 mins for the half marathon. Superb effort.
