Askern 10 Mile Road Race

Race Date: Sunday 14th August 2016

The Askern 10 Mile Road Race is one of our Championship races and as such is a popular race with Striders. There were lots of Strider based races at all speeds within the main race – all good fun, and all the better for the purpose of running your very best on the day.

The race winner was Daniel Kestrel of Barnsley AC, in a time of 53:21. The winning lady was Faye Banks of Pontrefact AC, in a time of 1:03:10.

382 runners finished the race, of which 39 were Striders. Congratulations to everyone, but particularly to new (& first placed!) Strider Alex Day, who finished eighth overall, and third senior male. Also to Graham Hague for smashing another club age grade record, and to Carol Beattie for being the first F60 lady.
