Race Date: Sunday 3rd January 2016
Sunday morning saw several Striders gather once again at the Waggon and Horses in Oxspring. No, this wasn’t an early running of the Trunce! Instead, roughly 200 runners gathered on the Trans Pennine Trail just south of Oxspring for a 7 mile mud bath. The parking was a little tight and that led to some rather long warm ups for several striders. You can tell that it’s marathon training season!
The race was won by the unattached Stuart Vas in 54:02 with Kerry Storrar of Barnsley AC coming home in 1:04:28 to clinch first lady by 8 seconds.
