Race Date: Sunday 7th February 2016
The Nick Beer 10k Race was started by the North Wales Road Running club in 1993 in memory of Nick, a member who suffered from hydrocephalus, and sadly passed away in 1991 shortly after the Lake Vyrnwy Half Marathon. It is run in February every year and starts on the promenade in Llandudno and follows Marine Drive around the scenic Great Orme , before returning to the promenade and finishing opposite Venue Cymru. The race attracts around 700 entries each year.
This year, 623 runners finished the race, including our very own Bill Brown. The race was won by Simon Cole of GOG Triathlon club in 34.15. The first woman home was Sharon Johnstone of Wilmslow RC in 40.10. Big well done to Bill Brown for his efforts.
