Race Date: Monday 24th August 2015
The penultimate Trunce of the 2015 season attracted a field of 227 runners. The weather held off and it was pretty good running conditions. Despite the heavy rain over the weekend, the river remained quite low but the steep downhill stretches were a little on the slippy side – no care was taken however!
A good number of first timers from the Striders as well as the usual stalwarts helped to make up a Strider contingent of at least 24 (according to the photo). Please let me know if you are not on the results and I will add you.
Big well done to Mir Jansen who remains in top spot of the rankings with a total number of 188 points, a 2 point lead – all to play for in the last race. Dawn Jackson is 13th overall and 3rd in her age category – well done Dawn.
Trunce 8 was won by Brendan Moody of Barnsley AC in 25.31. First woman was Judith Jepson of DPFR in 30.00.
