Race Date: Sunday 6th September 2015
The Sunday morning was beautiful and the weather was kind, if not too kind to the 182 entrants to the main event of the weekend. The race attracted 17 Striders out of the field of 182 (would have been 18 had I not been struck down with the lurgy!. I have to say after reccying this course, I was really looking forward to it.) However, well done to all Striders but special mention to Tom McCart for his first long distance fell race.
The individual race was won by Aiden Smith of Hallamshire Harriers in 2.08.33. First woman was Hazel Tant of Totley AC in 2.37.00. Striders managed to bag 4th, 5th, 11th & 13th place in the Men’s and 4th in the Women’s team results. Nice work!
