Race Date: Monday 4th May 2015

I always thought a bank holiday was for chilling out and putting your feet up. Obviously not. One lone Strider joined the masses, well 451 others, for the Tees Barrage 10k race in Stockton on Tees. Monday was a complete contrast to the wet misery of Sunday and with the website saying that  ‘The 10k run course is totally on cycle and footpaths circumnavigating the river Tees.’ it sounds a very nice race to have competed in.

The race was won by Marc Fenwick of Tyne Bridge AC in 33:16. Magda Grinsdale made it a Tyne Bridge AC double, being the first lady home in 38:54. Well done to Simon Hope for his result and for representing the Striders at the Tees Barrage 10k.
